What Matters To You? - Our Initiatives
At 'What Matters to You?' (WMTY), our initiatives are designed to foster a culture of kindness, compassion, and collaboration across Perth and Kinross. By asking WMTY in our daily interactions, we aim to create meaningful connections and improve the well-being of our colleagues and the people we support in health and social care. Explore some key initiatives below and discover how people all over Perth and Kinross are making a positive impact based on the WMTY movement.
Our Publication
At the celebration event on 23rd May 2024 we were very proud to launch the publication 'Celebrating People.' This was made in collaboration with the wonderful people at ALLIANCE Scotland and chronicles the work that has been conducted across Perth and Kinross over the past year around WMTY. We are extremely proud of this publication and once again would like to give a special thanks to Irene Oldfather and Naya Koulocheri from the ALLIANCE who worked tirelessly to pull this together, we can't thank them enough.

Conversations
What Matters To You? (WMTY) - Conversation, 6th June 2023 (online) |
For WMTY day on 6th June 2023 Rachel Comrie (Learning and Development Officer) and Moyra Gill (Team Leader - Learning and Development) facilitated an online conversation for participants interested in a WMTY conversation.
There were 6 participants in total including the 2 facilitators.
We used the WMTY conversation template using the questions Tommy designed, and as a group answered these in a way that mattered to us.
We had an hour and did not get through all the questions.
- What Matters to You?
- What does a compassionate workplace look/feel like?
- What are our strengths? (What do you think you/we do well and can build on/do more of?)
- What are the barriers and what will support us to work together to overcome these?
- When you have a good day, what makes it a good day?
- Do you have an idea that you think will make the greatest difference that you can start working on now?

This was a fantastic conversation; you are all really inspiring! Thank you! |

It has been agreed by the group since this conversation, that it would be helpful to them to have the opportunity to do this again and to also enable this opportunity within their teams.
