Speech and Language Therapy Training on LIGo

This is a focus on communication needs within a teenage population however much of this is applicable to adults who have communication needs.

There are 2 sections:

•  Speech, Language and Communication Needs

This presentation focuses on ‘Speech, Language and Communication Needs’ and has a particular emphasis on a secondary age group. It covers common communication difficulties that present themselves in this population and the potential impact of these difficulties is explained.

•  Developmental Language Disorder

This presentation aims to raise awareness of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) within a teenage population.  It covers common difficulties and explains where challenges arise for young people who have DLD. The presentation also features a case study of a young person with DLD.
